Type of Procedure

Justification for the choice of accelerated procedure
With the contract value involved, controlling energy costs is of key importance to the end user. Without a supply contract in place the end user is not able to forward hedge energy purchases, this poses significant price risk to the end user. Placing a supply contract at the earliest opportunity will reduce this risk as they will be able to react to any potential increases in the wholesale power market by forward hedging energy purchases, allowing the end user to protect themselves from potential significantly higher energy costs.
