II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Contracting Authority required an organisation to perform grounds maintenance services to its' CQC Registered Services establishments throughout the East Midlands. The Grounds Maintenance works are likely to include, but not be limited to:
— Grass cutting of communal lawns and verges (grass collection according to detailed scheme specifications);
— Trimming of hedges and shrubs to agreed dimensions;
— Minor tree works;
— Removal of leaf fall;
— Shrub beds, hard surfaced areas, paths to be maintained weed and self set sapling free;
— Sweeping and weed removal of moss in car parks, paved areas, etc.;
— A site litter pick on each scheme visit.
In addition, the contractor is to report health and safety issues, damage to plants, trees and property and fly tipping whenever it is observed.
The contractor is required to undertake their work in a courteous and respectful manner and liaise effectively with tenants and the Contracting Authority.

Please note the Contract Commencement Date for Lots 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be 1.4.2017. All other Lots commenced service delivery on 1.6.2016. The respective contract terms will begin on these respective dates and continue in accordance with the terms and conditions thereafter.
