Abstract

Mid Essex Heath Trust have recently completed the installation of a state of the art of HSDU facility in the old medical records building at Broomfield Hospital. The project included full refurbishment of existing facility to include; external cladding repairs, new steelwork, partitions, doors and ceilings. Hygienic finishes wall cladding and vinyl flooring. Full Mechanical and Electrical plant and installations including; New AHUs, chillers, RO, water tanks, controls, lighting, fire alarms, power, HV & LV cabling.

The installation contains, full process services, 7 No new 15 Din washers and 4 No sterilisers, all associated steam and above and below quad drainage including holding tank and pump set. Full FF&E package and stainless steel equipment, full track and trace and IT infrastructure and data. .

Following practical completion MEHT are looking to appoint a Contractor to carry out Engineering Facilities Management and Maintenance on the HSDU installation, this incorporates all the above areas including plant and equipment provided by third party suppliers.
