The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from 1.4.2018 until 31.3.2021, with the option to extend for a further term, and will be fixed price in nature, with the Supplier invoicing the Client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. All hospitality and FSM will be recharged to the Client at net food cost only.
The basis and rationale that the Client requires the successful Supplier to operate to at all times, is being proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved on all sites and that the quality of food improves moves forward into this contract term and that the tender specification is delivered consistently.
The tender project is seeking to appoint a Supplier whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of catering services within the MAT. The high quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout the contract term with a firm focus being on the quality of food served.
The MAT is expected to grow in the number of schools becoming part of the trust during this contract period, and the provision of catering services within these schools when they have joined the MAT may fall under the scope of this contract. The successful Supplier will be expected to provide this service within these schools using the same costing model, ratios etc. that they applied to their successful tender submission for the MAT at the point of tender submission. The duration of contract for these schools will not be increased and they will join the contract for the remaining contract period that exists at the point of entry into the MAT.
The current annual value of the contract is approximately 250 000 GBP plus VAT. However, depending on the number of schools that join the MAT, it is anticipated that this annual value will increase over the contract term.
