Abstract

The Early Intervention project is to be delivered across the Belfast South Social Investment Fund Zone. The primary objective is to provide interventions and family support from earliest stage pregnancy through to Primary School to tackle systematic issues linked to deprivation, will contribute to both children and their families being better supported in the ‘Early Years’ and that each child has the best start in life to allow them to develop from a health, education and personal perspective and to reach their full potential. The programme is comprised of 4 separate strands: a. Perinatal b. Transitions c. Family Support d. Children with Special Educational Needs (SENS). The Public Health Agency (PHA), as Lead Partner, requires a Contractor to deliver the identified intervention support programmes, to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Belfast South SIF zone, the issues within it and the measures to include participation from all sections of society.
