Abstract

Provision of Trustwide Taxi services.

Scope of The Service

The service will be required to carry out:

— The safe escorting of vulnerable ambulant and non-ambulant patients between hospitals and other establishments or hospitals/clinics and home.

— Movement of equipment and packages, some of which may contain sensitive, confidential material, between hospitals, Trust premises or other establishments with logging of pick-up and delivery processes.

— Transportation of drugs and specimens from hospital pathology departments to various locations. This will include logging the pick — up and delivery in-line with Trust policy.

— Movement of staff from their private address or normal work place to various hospitals or establishments.

— Transportation of staff on Christmas Eve Day/Night, Christmas Day/Night, Boxing Day/Night and New Year's Eve Day/Night and New Year's Day/Night.

— This is not an exhaustive list and may be amended to meet the needs and requirements of the Trust.

The response time for journey types will be as follows:-

— Booking for an immediate service, maximum of twenty (20) minutes.

— Pre-arranged bookings maximum ten (10) minutes delay, from arranged pick-up time.

Contract standard

The work shall be carried out in a proper and professional manner to the entire satisfaction of the Authorised Officer or designated representative.

Quality standard.

Quality standard will include:

— Number of complaints/issues raised including breach of confidentiality.

— Response time to complaints.

— Response to satisfaction surveys carried out by the Trust.

— Response times to calls to be provided to Trust by Contractors on request.

The awarded supplier(s) shall provide the services detailed in the specification to users determined by the Trust. The journeys will commence at collection point and conclude at drop off destination.

Contract period 12 months with options for a further 2 x 12 month extensions.
