IV.1) Description

IV.1.1) Type of procedure

Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition

Justification for selected award procedure:

Explanation

This interim contract award represents a fundamental redesign of the service. It is considered that the incumbent provider is best placed to deliver this new service in the short term while the CCG engages further with the wider market regarding a long term solution. Any longer term solution would also need to be incorporated into the CCG's commissioning plans for a Multi-specialty community. As such, a short term (9 month) contract to test the new model has been awarded to an incumbent provider in order to enable the CCG to evaluate its outcomes and consider a long term solution.
