Abstract

The objectives of UK Power Networks Occupational Health and Wellbeing is to continue evolving and improving the service to provide excellence in customer service and the delivery of an efficient targeted service. The core priorities must be addressed equally and concurrently:

— Compliance activities: manage sickness absence and meet statutory requirements to reduce the incidence of work related ill health via Fitness for Work Assessments and health surveillance etc. The Provider will bring fresh, new ideas to help drive continuous improvement in delivering these services; and will also ensure that their working systems allow for maximum efficiency without compromising service quality.

— Innovative activities: to assist in the further promotion of health and wellbeing, increasing the visibility of the service and its benefits to managers, demonstrating personal benefit of compliance activities to employees, using IT/management information to target engagement, improve service quality/compliance, and demonstrate tangible return on investment (ROI).

— Communication: establish a culture of optimum health, and wellbeing engaged employees, whilst improving communication for health and wellbeing with stakeholders. Provide a high quality management information report and evaluate data aligned to the service level agreement and key performance indicators. Providing confidential advice and support on health issues where an employee is in need of support or advice or management are concerned. Ensuring collaboration between employee assistance programme (EAP) our comprehensive health and wellbeing programmes.

The Service Provider will provide UK Power Networks with Occupational Health and D and A services with key skillsets of Physicians/Technicians, Lead OHA, OHA, Health Coach:

Online portal capability for: Electronic record management including appointment scheduling, management referrals and traceability of referrals and management information.

Case management and Fast Track Physiotherapy as well as Drug Screening and Alcohol Testing services.
