Basis of Contract.
The intention of the tender process is to appoint a supplier to deliver the full catering services across the Federation’s estate of six schools. The Contract will commence in September 2019 and will be for an initial period of 3 years plus an option to extend for 2 further years at the discretion of the Federation’s governing body.
In order to deliver best value, the contract will be awarded on a ‘fully inclusive fixed price meal’ basis rechargeable by the supplier in accordance with the actual number of meals served at each school.
The contract value is estimated to be 2 750 000 GBP (over 3 years).
Objectives.
It is important to the Federation that the supplier has significant experience of delivering quality, healthy and sustainable meal services, particularly in primary schools. The supplier should have a strong operational base local to the London Borough of Lambeth and be able to demonstrate an ability to maximise pupil meal uptake through a proven ability of making the lunch service fun, interesting and educational.
