The purpose of the requirement is NRW has recently undertaken an organisation wide job evaluation exercise, resulting in the implementation of new NRW grades and salary scales (Annex 1). The principle behind the JE scheme was to align all staff onto new NRW pay scales, it was not a market lead exercise. We are now recognising that for some areas of the business there is a need to benchmark roles externally to assess if any additional allowance should be paid to top up the basic salary.
