Abstract

An interim contract is being directly awarded to an existing provider to ensure continuity of the provision and coordination of Primary Care services for patients registered with Merton CCG GP practices whilst the model of local provision continues to be reviewed and developed during the term of this contract. This interim contract effectively establishes a more efficient and effective singular contractual arrangement, to replace a number of existing smaller contracts for the provision of Extended Access Primary Care Service, Integrated Locality Team Coordination Service, Primary Care at Scale Service and the Quality Service contract. The contract term will run for 2 years with an option to extend this for up to 1 further year should the need arise.

The singular contractual arrangement will enable improved inter-connectedness with flexibility in its function; staff and resources will be more easily shared across the individual services, which will also support improved integrated working and value for money.
