In addition, the successful service provider will join a limited panel of external caterers, whose services may be selected for the provision of function/event catering. Therefore, National Galleries Scotland require the service provider to market and sell both sites as a function venue to corporate and private clients, offering their services for events both during the day and evening.

The cafés are a valuable asset to the National Gallery and should be considered as a destination in their own right. Their reputation in regards to quality, value and customer service enhances the overall gallery attraction and visitor experience and therefore, service providers should be considerate of the galleries’ audience and exhibition programmes.
