Birmingham Airport provides both domestic flights within the UK, and international flights to destinations in Europe, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, North America and the Caribbean for approximately 12 000 000 passengers per year. With prospects for continued growth, the Airport Company is committed to providing quality facilities and services to meet the future air transport needs of the West Midlands region. The on-going sustainable development of the Airport, which aims to balance the economic and social benefits to the region with the need to control and mitigate environmental impacts, is crucial for maintaining and improving the region’s principal international gateway.
