The Curator’s Office of the Houses of Parliament has received late notification of the requirement to decant significant interiors of the Palace of Westminster to accommodate the Fire Safety Improvement Works project. With a delivery deadline of early August 2019, insufficient time is available to accommodate a thirty-day tender period. Reduction to a 15-day tender period will assist with procuring a solution in a timely fashion and will ultimately achieve value for money for the House by ensuring its historical assets will be secure and safe whilst in storage.
