Explanation
Olink Proteomics is the only company on the market that have panels available to measure such a wide range of proteins, using a very small sample volume. Additionally the technology developed and employed by the company is unique and has a good evidence base in the literature to support its use. Each panel measures 92 proteins per sample offering a significant reduction in cost as compared to using individual ELISA's that measure single proteins or other protein detection methods. Other multiplex protein technologies on the market do not offer the advantage of specifically measuring as many proteins. Overall the use of this service reduces the volume of clinical samples required and is well published and reliable method to specifically detect a large variety of proteins, offering substantial advantages over other detection methods. Fundamentally this is an extension of previous samples, this is a validation of previous samples and Olink have two new neuronal panels highly relevant to the stratified medicine biomarker objectives, hence the work can only be carried out by Olink Proteomics and imperative this validation is on the same platform.
