Crawley Borough Council is in the process of building a new civic building to support its own occupation. The new building will also provide approximately 7 100 m2 of commercial office space which will be let with the purpose of generating income for the Council. The Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced agent to undertake the following:
• provide advice and attendance at key meetings on aspects of the commercial space to include finishes, layout, provision of services and the options for the facilities management approach of the tenanted space to enable the most advantageous letting of the office floors;
• develop proposed terms, including rent, upon which the commercial space should be let;
• provide a marketing strategy;
• undertake all marketing, including the preparation of marketing material;
• negotiate heads of terms for any transaction;
• carry out all appropriate due diligence in respect of any potential occupier.
