MonLife is a relatively new directorate for Monmouthshire County Council and brings museums, attractions and historic countryside sites under one service area. This has given us a chance to create a heritage strategy which brings all of these assets together, along with the staff involved, to tell the story of Monmouthshire. To be successful we need to increase people's confidence and knowledge so they can tell that wider story rather than just their own site's heritage.

We therefore wish to commission consultants to create and develop a training programme based on the themes we have created to sum up Monmouthshire's fantastic, varied and far reaching heritage.
