Abstract

Project brief: The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has had a significant impact on how students’ access both support and wellbeing services and Futures (as it has on all aspects of University business). We have moved our support services to remote working, adopted new ways of working and acquired new tools to make support more accessible. We now require a highly visible promotional campaign which will boost understanding and access of both types of services in 2021. This campaign must contribute to delivery against University priorities around social inclusion, community building and ultimately student retention, achievement and outcomes. The campaign should reflect the innovation and student-centred approaches at the heart of our student support provision. It should substantially (and demonstrably) enhance awareness of the measures we have put in place as a result of COVID-19. It should remain applicable as we re-open services in person in our new Centre for Student Life. To ensure the effective communication and engagement with, students around these resources, we wish to procure the services of a communications agency to produce a set of promotional materials suitable for communications via channels including but not limited to: - Email (Campaign Monitor templates/assets) - Web - Intranet - Social media channels - Posters and physical displays - Plus other channels (or tactics) as suggested by the agency ultimately selected Said materials should convey to our primary audience (our student body) plus secondary audiences including relevant staff, employers and wider community: - The full array of support and wellbeing services available to our students - The fully array of career and employability support available to our students - How to access them - How they can share said services with their peers The materials should be: - Reflective of the differing actions Student Support and Wellbeing versus Futures communications will need to elicit. The former is a critical part of our relationship with our students, while the latter requires us to ‘sell’ services to students, encouraging a conscious decision for them to engage with career development, work experience and international opportunities. - Convey the full range of support and services offered by both Student Support and Wellbeing and Futures. - Reflective of the communications preferences, and the information consumption habits, of young people in 2020-21 (e.g. concise) - Of a high-quality, visually engaging and stimulating - Easily deployed via existing internal and external channels by specialist (Student Communications) and non-specialist teams (e.g. other related University teams) - Compliant with Welsh Language requirements - Compliant with Accessibility requirements

Description of the contract

Project brief:

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has had a significant impact on how students’ access both support and wellbeing services and Futures (as it has on all aspects of University business).
