Ysgol y Creuddyn is a Community Secondary School and the only Designated Welsh Medium Secondary School within Conwy County.
The school caters for pupils between the ages of 11-18 and currently has 625 pupils on roll.

The site location is Ffordd Derwen, Bae Penrhyn, Llandudno, Conwy, LL30 3LB.
The project aims are twofold;
[1] Provide a two class expansion of the school facilities, and
[2] Re-configure and expand the car parking layout to align the type and number of car / bus parking spaces on site with the parking standards allowance as published in the Conwy Plan Area LDP SPG document.
Through recent engagement with the school, two areas of work have been identified;
[1] Alterations which will increase the capacity of the school accommodation, and to be carried out in a specific area of the school building as indicated within this information pack,
[2] The re-organisation and expansion of the car park to improve the efficiency and capacity.
The new build extension is to provide the following accommodation:
Ground Floor:
-Corridor circulation space extended off the existing corridor on ground floor; 17.4m2.
-Form two new classrooms off new corridor; Classroom spaces to be 54m2 and 67m2.
-Kiln room off existing Art room; 11.5m2 with an external door.
-Convert existing clay room and Kiln room into 7m2 Art Store Room and a Store room off the new 67m2 classroom.
-Unisex toilets 20.8m2 with 4nr cubicles wash facilities etc.
First Floor
-It is an option to extend the existing roof of the Science and Art block in a two storey extension with Circulation space, store room and one classroom on the first floor.
Car Park
-The car park re-organisation should take account of the shared usage agreements in place with the Primary School [provide 20 spaces] and Community Space [provide 13 spaces] and to maximise the quantity of car parking spaces which are allowable under the SPG LDP2 Parking Standards.
