It will be fully accessible for all ages and abilities, encouraging informal social use between generations including children with disabilities.
The NLHF funding is a two-stage process, South Gloucestershire Council were successful in securing Stage 1 of the project, which enables us to develop the detailed design of the park, prior to submission of the NLHF Stage 2 bid in August 2023. We should hear if we have been successful towards the end of 2023.
We are inviting suppliers to a two-stage restricted tender process and five successful tenderers from this stage will be asked to submit a full design tender on a refined design in early 2024 if we are successful in our Stage 2 (delivery stage) NLHF bid, with construction following later that year. If we are unsuccessful in our bid the project will go no further.
