Abstract

Procurement of a Leasing Agreement for a range of Cardiovascular Fitness Equipment - ESPO 345. This is a re-tender of CU.543.AD where 5 bids were received but after evaluation there was an issue with the dimension flexibility of the equipment issued to the bidders resulting in all equipment being offered was too big and would not fit in the required footprint of the buildings. Also, the evaluation was heavily weighted on price which resulted in a low price dominating the evaluation, but the quality was also not to the right level to ensure that what services were to be provided alongside the equipment met the Universitys requirements. Therefore, the specification has been revamped to ensure that it is clear to the bidder the maximum dimensions required but also the quality questions have been tweaked with some more added to ensure service levels required are met. Quality is now 60% with Price 40%. Cardiff University Sports wish to establish a lease agreement for a range of cardiovascular fitness equipment. This is an opportunity for bidders to Tender to supply, deliver, install cardiovascular gym equipment. During the lease period a maintenance service is also required of the leased equipment. The appointed bidder will be required to provide fitness equipment that is market leading, durable and should meet the needs of Cardiff University Sports and its customers, whilst representing value for money. CPV: 51121000.
