Explanation:
Dacorum Borough Council intends to extend its existing contract for Fire Alarm Installation and Maintenance Services with TP Fire Limited by 12 months, from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.
The Council considers this modification is lawful under Regulation 72(8) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, as it does not constitute a substantial change to the original contract:
Reg. 72(8)(a): The extension does not render the contract materially different in character; it is a time-only extension.
Reg. 72(8)(b): The modification does not introduce conditions that would have changed the outcome of the original procurement.
Reg. 72(8)(c): The economic balance of the contract remains unchanged.
