Abstract
Existing Haematology Day Unit facilities at UHW have been subject to a number of JACIE inspections. The results of these inspections have been critical of the quality of the facilities and are deemed to be unfit for purpose. In order to maintain clinical accreditation, existing facilities require improvement.
Following consultation with the Clinical Board and End Users it has been agreed the optimum solution would be to extend the existing Haematology Day Unit into Jubilee Courtyard.
A Schedule of Accommodation has been agreed and informed the scope of works. Following consultation, the capital works involve a single storey extension of c250m2 along with adaptation and existing facilities. .
