Abstract

Gwynedd Council needs to commission a provider to provide Assertiveness Training to its staff. Many of our staff have difficulty in expressing their views or setting boundaries in a clear way, leading to misunderstandings, stress or overload. This training will help to develop confidence and communication skills that enable individuals to deal with challenging situations in an informed and respectful manner. By offering this training, the Council ensures that staff have the necessary communication skills to express themselves in a professional and respectful manner. The training will contribute to an open and constructive work culture, reduce the potential for conflict, and support staff wellbeing by building confidence and resilience. By enabling staff to communicate clearly and effectively, the organisation promotes a more productive, collaborative, and efficient work environment. The Council recognises the value of the training to individuals as well as the organisation as a whole. - Cyngor Gwynedd has a bilingual policy (Welsh and English). As a result the Council wishes to appoint a provider who can deliver the training in Welsh and English. However, we will consider English providers if there are no suitable bilingual providers.
