II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Intended Approach Notice.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) intends to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process under The Health Services (Provider Selection Regime) (Wales) Regulations 2025 for the provision of outsourced pathology testing services for HFE genes, including sample extraction.
In accordance with the Most Suitable Provider Process, the Contracting Authority has considered which providers are capable of delivering the service and, having regard to the key criteria and all relevant information available at this time, considers that it is able to identify the most suitable provider to deliver the requirement.
The Contracting Authority intends to award a single contract to the most suitable provider. This Intended Approach Notice will be published for a period of at least 14 days, allowing interested parties the opportunity to raise any enquiries or provide relevant information for consideration before a contract award decision is made.
