Total quantity or scope of tender
The contractor will be responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality grounds maintenance service. Inclusive of the following;
Annual Cutting Plan
o April, May, September, October: Every 3 weeks
o June, July, August: Every 2 weeks
o November, December: No cuts
o January, February, March: Once per month
Mowing to include the full perimeter of the playing field area where there are newly installed goal posts, maintaining a usable path around the field.
Small Key areas are to be intentionally left as meadow / wildflower areas to support biodiversity, subject to safety and usability and aid in a more interesting and diverse landscape.
Bidders are invited and encouraged to attend a site visit with the Clerk prior to submission in order to propose the most appropriate bio-diversity area, layout and management approach, which is aligned to the Council’s biodiversity objectives.
Site visits must be arranged in advance by contacting the Clerk. Attendance is optional but strongly encouraged to ensure accurate pricing and appropriate proposals.
Basic Litter picking to be carried out at the same time as grass cutting.
All grass cuttings must be removed from site to reduce nutrient loading and support biodiversity outcomes.
Hedgerow Maintenance
• One internal hedgerow cut per year.
• Work to be planned outside of the main bird nesting season.
Standards
• All work must leave the site clean, safe and tidy.
• Operations must comply with health and safety and good environmental practice
