Total quantity or scope of tender
The tender is split into 3 lots, and suppliers are welcome to apply for individual lots OR the entire process. Lots are broken down as follows;
Lot 1 – Supply and Installation
The successful contractor shall:
• Supply all plants, compost, baskets, liners and associated materials required;
• Design and deliver high-quality seasonal floral displays;
• Install all hanging baskets and flower towers safely and securely;
• Replace any failed or damaged plants within a reasonable timeframe;
• Ensure all displays remain visually attractive and fit for purpose throughout the display period;
• Coordinate installation dates with the Council.
Lot 2 – Watering and Maintenance
The successful contractor shall:
• Undertake weekly watering visits throughout the operational season;
• Monitor the health and condition of displays;
• Remove dead foliage and maintain presentation standards;
• Notify the Council promptly of any vandalism, damage or safety concerns;
• Ensure watering schedules are adapted during periods of extreme weather where necessary.
Lot 3 – Storage and Maintenance
The successful contractor shall:
• Remove, transport and safely store all baskets and towers during off-season periods;
• Inspect all items annually for wear and damage;
• Undertake minor repairs and maintenance where appropriate;
• Notify the Council of any items requiring replacement.
• Notify the Council of any excessive maintenance requirements
