The objective of the works is to determine the construction and condition of the current bound road material at specified sites, and to determine the presence of any possible hazardous materials. The contract operates on a call off basis, determined by the client where need for coring is identified.
The contractor will also be required to provide a Waste Classification for materials at each locus tested.

The Contractor must hold UKAS Accreditation and provide evidence of this in the form of a current UKAS Accreditation schedule.
The contractor must have an approved UKAS laboratory suitably accredited for storage and testing Bituminous mixtures for roads and other paved areas and road pavement surfaces.
