The kerbside collection of dry recyclable materials, food waste and non recyclable waste plus associated services which include collection services for bulky wastes, clinical (healthcare) wastes, servicing of litter bins and dog waste bins and container storage and delivery. The Council may wish to provide capital financing for all required fleet and plant to be used in the operation of this contract and may require the successful contractor to provide procurement services for said fleet and plant.

Weekly kerbside dry recycling collections (with kerbside sorting) of newspapers and magazines (including telephone directories and junk mail), plastic bottles, tins and cans, glass bottles and jars, clothes and textiles, aluminium foil and used household batteries: fortnightly kerbside refuse collection: collections of clinical waste as required from households: bulky waste collections: servicing of recycling banks: storage and delivery of recycling and waste containers: servicing of litter and dog waste bins: all fleet and plant, maintenance of fleet and plant, all management and labour required to provide the above.
2. As (1) above but with the addition of cardboard in the kerbside recycling collection.
3. As (1)above but with the addition of mixed plastics [pots, tubs and trays] in the kerbside. recycling collection.
4. As (1) above but with the addition of cardboard and mixed plastics.
5. As (4) above but with three weekly refuse collection.
6. As (4) above but with four weekly refuse collection.
For options that include 3 or 4 weekly collections of refuse the Council will require submissions to include for a separate weekly or fortnightly collection of nappy waste.
The Council may wish to provide capital financing for vehicles and plant required for the successful operation of this contract and may require the successful contractor to provide procurement services for said vehicles and plant.
The Council will be holding a Bidders Day event in March to which all parties expressing an interest will be invited. |
