The overall objective is to implement an electronic system that enables the council's collection service to be optimised in terms of rounds/routes and resources, which improves customer service, provides management information to monitor and manage performance thereby increasing efficiencies and income generation potential, and that streamlines the handling of customer requests.
The project incorporates:
— Domestic and trade refuse, green waste and recycling services in terms of fixed rounds and route planning;
— 2 way ICT links between the customer services the back office and waste front-line vehicles;
— The trade waste service in terms of customer management and daily work planning;
— The bulky collection service, management of requests and daily work scheduling;
— The provision of management information for all above mentioned services;
— Web access to rounds lists for public use and for generating calendars;
— Daily management of rounds specific risks;
— Drivers daily vehicle checks.
