Abstract

Arts University Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced supplier for the provision and implementation of a Library Management System (LMS).

As part of this tender the University is also considering the replacement of its Resource Discovery System (this is deemed to be an option).

The University is willing to consider an LMS which is purely on premise, purely cloud hosted or a hybrid of the 2. In tendering this opportunity the University is looking for a solution: which enhances current capabilities in terms of library core functions and work flows; improves functionality for students, provides seamless integration with a variety of resources and systems and provides improved management reporting.

We anticipate the delivery of the project to commence in May 2018 with implementation expected to occur in January 2019 following an agreed period of testing which will cover all of the required functions of the solution and the interfaces to the designated AUB systems.

The contract shall be for an initial period of 5 years with an option to extend subject to performance and if both parties are in agreement for a further period of 2 years.
