Walthamstow School for Girls (WSFG) is a school for 11 to 16 year students. The School is proud of the rich and diverse heritage of its community. Students come from a wide range of backgrounds, with many races, religions, and cultures represented. Speaking 39 different languages, the School celebrates its diversity and welcomes the opportunities this gives to learn from each other.
Current arrangements:
Olive Dining are the incumbent contractor.
Current Turnover 281 000 GBP.
The School wish to award a 2-year fixed price fixed term contract through a “Light Touch” Tender Process with a start date of 1.4.2018.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The School has a high Muslim population and the successful contractor must be able to provide Halal meat and take account of the annual period of Ramadan which moves each year.
Students must be able to feel the food offer is value for money together with food being well balanced, fresh and nutritional. The School places a huge importance on providing their students and staff with healthy, nutritious food. The food offer should include all styles of menu including a wide range of vegetarian, international and Halal options.
To ensure the continued commitment to healthy eating, vegetarian cuisine, fair trade and local sourcing. This must include the quality, variety, presentation and merchandising of the food and continued support of the existing catering team.
Maintain and develop the existing “restaurant culture” ensuring that students eat a range of different foods, making healthy and informed choices, eating as a social activity, open to trying new foods.
To enter into an agreement that rewards the Contractor for continual improvements in their financial and operational performance as well as passing on any financial benefits to the School over and above any agreed guarantees.
