Mid Devon District Council (MDDC) and Exeter city Council (ECC) (the councils) wish to achieve value for money and full compliance with relevant legislation in the procurement of their fleet including full maintenance arrangements. The councils also aim to achieve savings through a combined Vehicle maintenance and supply contract.
Historically the councils have used local providers to carry out vehicle repairs and maintenance benefiting from their experience and their ability to respond rapidly.
The aim of this procurement process is to work in partnership with fleet maintenance providers whilst also ensuring social value is achieved for the councils.
