Section IV: Procedure
IV.1) Description
IV.1.1) Type of procedure
Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition
Justification for selected award procedure:
New works/services, constituting a repetition of existing works/services and ordered in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
In October 2017 Informal Cabinet at SCC approved a decision to remain in the Syrian VPR Scheme and accommodate a further 50 Syrian Refugees. This was after the official end date of the contracted arrangements with Refugee Action and therefore it was no longer possible to utilise the extension period at that point. It was therefore approved to directly award a new contract on the same terms and conditions as the previous contractual arrangement to Refugee Action, in order for the organisation to continue to deliver an identical service to that in 2016/17 and provide the same support to the second cohort of families that are due to arrive in the UK from March 2018.
