In order to maintain service provision when permanent staff are absent (e.g. leave, sickness) or during times of peak seasonal demand or due to additional work being undertaken, the Council engages temporary employees provided by a suitable contracted agency (The Supplier). Both Craven District Council and Pendle Borough Council are seeking to appoint suitable recruitment agencies (The Suppliers) who will be responsible for providing driver labourers, cleansing operatives and grounds maintenance staff. The main requirements of the contract will be provision of:
— a managed service with dedicated contact,
— provision of suitably trained staff to deliver the role required,
— provision of staff often at short notice and typically in the early morning (6:30 a.m. onwards),
— provide appropriate PPE.
