Lease of two Electric Cars for Community Electric Car Scheme

1 Community Electric Car Scheme

The pilot study is intended to trial community electric cars in Gwynedd. The intention is to place 2 cars (Nissan Leaf or similar in size) in communities, thus promoting the use of a community car that will be available to serve the area as well as promoting the use of electric cars. The cars would be available for members of the public to drive after registering on an online booking system (the booking system needs to be included in this quote)

2. Details

As part of the project we will be looking to lease two electric cars – therefore need a company to provide us with a quote for the following:

• Lease of 2 Nissan Leaf (or similar size Electric Car) for 2 years

• Cover the running costs: Insurance (details of insurance needed) and breakdown cover/car service. Car charging adapter if needed.

• Booking platform – a system for members of the public to register to drive the cars.

The tender will be scored on the following criteria:

• On the details of whats included in the tender (focusing on the 3 points stated above) 40%

• Price 30%

• Experience and support from the company 30%

3.Timetable:

We would like to have the electric cars in place as soon as possible (September 2019 at the latest)

4. Budget

The maximum budget available for this piece of work is £43,500 including VAT. You will have to ensure that you are able to complete the work within the budget noted above.

5. Submitting an application

One company or consortium may apply for the work. If a consortium, it is necessary to appoint a lead company.

Companies that wish to submit a tender will be required to include the following:

1. Outline what is offered within the quote (Lease of 2 cars, details regarding insurance/car servicing etc, details regarding booking system)

2. Highlight if there will be any other costs for the members of the public driving the cars e.g. cost to register with the booking system, cost per hour/per mile. Please state if Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig are able to determine the cost for the users and will the money be sent to Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig directly?

3. Outline of your company’s experience and examples of relevant work already implemented.

4. Details of the individuals who will carry out the work with Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig.

5. Financial offer including breakdown
