II.1.4) Short description
Digital Learning Capture (DLC) has become a core aspect of the delivery within most programmes at many higher education institutions, with 86 % of UK universities reporting that they have a learning capture solution in place. Currently CCCU cannot count themselves among these institutions and this project aims to address that. The ability to provide recorded content is a core aspect of modern blended and part-time learning pedagogies. In order to make best use of our face to face classroom time, the University’s academic staff must have the opportunity to develop learning objects and create approaches that increase engagement in the classroom. The use of video for knowledge transfer and consolidation is key to this. This tender process will be used to select a supplier to deliver a learning capture solution. The University intends to sign a contract with its preferred supplier by the mid-December 2018 with the first recording going live in January 2019.
