II.1.4) Short description
The intention of this (ITT) is to enable the Trust to identify the most economically advantageous tender or tenders. The procurement is split into 2 lots, lot 1 is for Grounds and Gardens Maintenance and Lot 2 is for Snow Clearance and Gritting.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Lot 1 is for Grounds and Gardens Maintenance. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the grounds and gardens of Trust properties and for keeping them in a safe state. The contractor shall also cover the provision and maintenance of plants in main entrances and public areas of Trust properties.

The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining.
The service provided by the contractor shall include, but not be limited to:
— removal of snow from external areas and gritting/salting roads,
— maintaining records of untoward incidents occurring in the grounds of Trust properties,
— maintaining records of requests for removal of snow and ice treatment,
— treatment of roads and pathways to prevent the build up of ice,
— appointment of any specialist contractors for work within the scope of the service,
— maintenance of arrangements to deal with emergency and non emergency requests for work outside normal service hours,
— placing warning signs to alert people to hazards arising from the performance of the work,
— communication pathways between the Trust, Contractor and all third parties employed.
