II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The service will support families to ensure that their children have good health and well-being throughout life. It brings together the functions of the former health visiting and school nursing services and the National Child Measurement Programme with the ambition to provide a single integrated children and young people's public health service, which contributes to the delivery of the local healthy child programme.
The aim of the service is to ensure that all children, young people and their families have access to universal and specialist services, including safeguarding support and advice, in the right place, at the right time, by the right professional that will prevent or allow for the earliest identification of need and improve or protect their health and wellbeing.
The service will have a fixed contract value of 11 000 000 GBP per annum.

Requests for clarification of any points of doubt or difficulty should be made via the e-procurement system before 4:00 p.m. Thursday 11.4.2019.
In February 2018, the Secretary of State agreed that the current 9 councils across Dorset will be dissolved at the end of March 2019 and 2 new organisations, known as “Dorset Council” and “Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council” will come into effect from 1.4.2019.
All Dorset County Council contracts will transfer to the new authority, “Dorset Council”, as from 1.4.2019 as part of this statute structural change.
As the closing date for receipt of tender submissions is after 1.4.2019, all offers shall be made to “Dorset Council”.
