There is potential to extend the contract for up to 2 additional years, subject to topic prioritisation by the funders, the availability of funding and an assessment by HQIP on the quality of the delivery of the project.
The future aspirational intention of this opportunity is to potentially include:
— different topics,
— combining NCAPOP projects/programmes,
— extending service coverage to include additional countries and/or devolved nations,
— extending service coverage to include non-NHS funded care,
— additional or enhanced delivery of any aspect of the dementia audit,
— other external quality improvement initiatives either related to or linked with the project.
Please note, there is no commitment by the Authority at this stage to include any of these.
Taking this aspirational intent into account as well as the possibility that a contract extension may be offered for an additional 2 years, the potential ceiling value is 7 000 000 GBP excluding VAT.
NB: Bidders should submit their schedule of offer based on “core” delivery for the initial 3 years only. The maximum budget “core” value is 1 048 000 GBP excluding VAT. This excludes the aspirational intent elements listed above.
