The supported living framework has been developed for eligible service users with disabilities, inclusive of: learning disabilities; autism; acquired brain injury, sensory impairment; physical disabilities; mental health and all other eligible service users as stated in the specification.
The framework will be used to provide 24-hour care and support for service users who live in or wish to live in supported living services. Service users may already be living in the community of the City of Wolverhampton, in either supported living services or residential services, outside of City of Wolverhampton but wish to return to Wolverhampton, from long stay health establishments or may be transitioning from children's services to adult social care services. It is anticipated service users shall require an element of personal care.
This service was procured using the light touch regime set out in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

The arrangement was let for a period of 5 years, commencing on 1 September 2019 and expiring on 31 August 2024.
The Council may exercise its option to extend the duration of this arrangement by up to a further two permitted extension periods of up to 12 months each.
This has been set up as a flexible arrangement, which if the need arises due to short falls in certain categories of care, then the opportunity will be given to other organisations to submit required documentation for assessment to potentially be awarded a place on the arrangement.
