The customer is looking for a unified communications solution with the goal of enhancing communication, collaboration and productivity. It is intended that a unified communications solution will support seamless communication across integrated devices. It is expected that the solution will also provide a robust critical communications solution which will support high priority alert and alarm notifications with patient information.
The customer also requires a switchboard facility to manage and maintain all inbound calls to the trust.
This procurement will incorporate 2 lots:
Lot 1: Voice over IP (VoIP) Unified Communications Solution including high priority alert and alarm notifications,
Lot 2: Switchboard.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The customer requires a solution to replace its existing incumbent telephony system with a robust single VoIP solution across Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust sites. The customer welcomes bids which will provide an on-premise and/or hybrid unified telecommunications solution. It is understood that an on-premise solution will result in the installation of telephony at two main data centre sites for resiliency and business continuity purposes, North Tyneside General Hospital and Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
The customer is looking for a robust critical communication solution which will support high priority alert and alarm notifications with patient information currently being operated via pagers.
