Abstract

BCBC has a requirement to appoint a suitable company to deliver the following (a) A thorough GHG emissions scoping and emissions baseline review (b) A bespoke GHG emissions baseline tool (c) A wide-ranging GHG emissions reduction trajectory (d) A comprehensive Net Zero Carbon route-map The overall budget for the piece of work is £50,000 ex VAT The Requirements and deliverables A thorough GHG emissions scoping and emissions baseline review To support BCBC to consider and set the boundary, period and scope of what will be included and excluded from the BCBC GHG emissions baseline following an assessment of Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 GHG emissions. To independently assess that BCBC is correctly including and/or excluding supplies from the GHG emissions baseline. To define and calculate a robust carbon footprint take forward as the baseline for the reduction trajectory and Net Zero Carbon route map. A bespoke GHG emissions baseline tool To create a tool for on-going use by BCBC to enable in house data addition for future reporting and monitoring as required. A wide-ranging GHG emissions reduction trajectory To create a GHG emission reduction trajectory to 2030 that will adjust according to annual data. To align the BCBC carbon reduction pathway with international agreements on carbon budgeting to tackle climate change and limit global warming to well below 2 o C A comprehensive Net Zero Carbon route-map To develop a Net Zero Carbon route-map with comprehensive strategy and action plans that set out the objectives and actions required to achieve Net Zero Carbon. To develop a robust pipeline of projects and activities with detailed assessment and prioritised and opportunities based on carbon saving potential, costs and timeframes.
