University capital works programme - refurbishments and adaptations of classrooms and staff offices

Description of the goods or services required

Wrexham Glyndwr University intend to carry out three refurbishment projects to buildings at their campus in Wrexham Plas Coch and Regent Street.

Works include the conversion of offices in the Main Building at Plas Coch campus into 6 classrooms for student teaching and social learning. Works also include the conversion of a building into a staff workplace hub. These two works are combined into one lot with an estimate works package value of £500,000 excluding VAT.

A separate lot will include a series of works to the School of Arts at Regent Street in Wrexham. Works will include refurbishment and conversion of spaces into public facing gallery, cafe as well as external conservation repairs and a new heating system throughout the building with an estimated works package value of £520,000 excluding VAT.

The Tender advertisement for both Lots are expected to be published on the Sell2Wales website on the 12th March 2021 with actual building works completed if possible by 31st July 2021 or as soon as there after.

Wrexham Glyndwr University will be carrying out a virtual meet the buyer event on 11th March 2021 and suitably qualified contractors are invited to register their interest by sending a question reply to this notice by providing your email address.

A virtual meet the buyer event will be taking place on 11th March 2021 and suitably qualified contractors are invited to register their interest.

Please submit a question on the portal with your email address to register and a microsoft teams invitation will be sent to you for a 15 minute meeting with our Capital Projects Manager and Procurement Advisor.

We will use the opportunity to brief you on the projects, timeline, procurement process and any other questions you may have.

The deadline for registration is 3pm on Tuesday 9th March 2021
