Y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored / Outdoor Partnership (The Partnership), established in 2005 (in North West Wales), is a registered Charity inspiring local people to become involved in outdoor activities through participation, education, volunteering, and employment programmes thus improving health, social and economic well-being. More recently, the work of TOP has been recognised by the National Lottery Community Fund as an example of good practice who awarded TOP a grant of £2.9m (net), £4.3m (gross) to expand its business model to 3 additional sites based in Cumbria, Ayrshire and Northern Ireland. This project commenced in October 2019 and will run for seven years with the aim of eventually creating up to five new sites outside Wales.

In addition to this The Outdoor Partnership has recently received a separate grant through Enabling Natural Resources and Wellbeing (ENRaW) to deliver its programmes across the remainder of Wales through the establishment of 4 further areas. This ENRaW project is funded by the European Rural Development fund through the Wales European Office of Welsh Government.

The Outdoor Partnership are now looking for the right partner to provide Marketing and Media support as part the ENRaW project to commence May 2021 until the end of June 2023. This tender is only for support for the ENRaW programme as The Outdoor Partnership already has Marketing support in place for the UK programme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

ENRaW Programme

The ENRaW programme plans to establish four new areas in Wales across the following regions, Gwent, Central South, Mid Wales and West Wales. The Outdoor Partnership has received circa £860,000 of funding to deliver this programme for the next two years until June 2023.

The role of the Marketing Partner will be to support the core staff in engaging with local people and communities through the charity’s media platforms to meet the objectives of the project and ultimately to increase social engagement and participation in outdoor activities.
