We wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to develop and deliver a series of training courses that reconnects and educates members of the public, local teachers and professionals from relevant organisations (e.g. Members of the Police, Fire Service, Local authority officers, elected members etc) about Gelligaer & Merthyr Common.

Relates to the following project/programme financed by EU Community Funds: Gelligaer and Merthyr Commoners Association (GMCA) by way of Gelligaer & Merthyr Commoners Ltd have been awarded a Sustainable Management Scheme grant as part of the Welsh Government Rural Communities-Rural Development Programme 2014 -2020, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union. This award allows the association to run the Comin Cydweithredol – Common Collaboration project. The Sustainable Management Scheme (SMS) is a grant scheme that delivers under sub-measure 16.5 of the Welsh Government Rural Communities-Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union. The SMS provides financial support for a range of collaborative landscape-scale projects that will improve the management of our natural resources and in doing so contribute to the well-being of our rural communities.
