Abstract

Our Portside Village scheme in Middlesbrough, is being delivered by our partner Miller Homes and will provide 109 affordable homes to the local community; 59 will be available to rent and 50 will be available to buy through Shared Ownership. The homes are to be a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties, both detached and semi-detached, and will appeal to a broad range of prospective homeowners; singles, couples, and growing families. We are providing 2 show homes for our customers at Portside Village: a 4-bedroom Hazelwood, 1150sqft and a 3-bedroom Buxton, 819sqft. The lounge of the 4-bedroom Hazelwood will also serve as our sales office. The office needs to be a functional space we can work from and welcome visitors whilst feeling welcoming and homely. We would like the office area incorporated into the overall design of the home rather than a formal or branded office.

We are acquiring 32 units from Strata Homes on their Dream development in Hull. 20 of the homes will be available to buy through Shared Ownership. We plan on furnishing one of the units to use as a show home: a 2.5 story, 3-bedroom Geneva, 1184sqft. As this development is outside of our core area, and as the 20 units will be handed over in bulk over a short period of time, we feel this project will lend itself better to the furniture rental option.
