Abstract

The Trust Port of Saundersfoot Is seeking to appoint a single supplier to supply EV car charging stations at its Harbour. The car park is currently undergoing a resurfacing and civil works program with grant support via Welsh Government. The appointed contractor is G D Harries and sons ltd, and work will commence on the 6th of March 2023 to improve its facilities for vehicles and pedestrians and within the works package provision has been made for foundation for EV Station as well as ducting from substation for the supplier to run electrical cabling. The Trust Port is inviting tenders for the delivery, connection, commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing operation of the charging points at two locations within the Harbour each location supporting 4 vehicles (8 in total). The chosen supplier will also be responsible for all electrical connections via the Two substations on site and liaising directly with Western Power Distribution with regards to connection. The awarded supplier will be required to cover the cost of all infrastructure / fit out / connections and all ongoing maintenance, repairs, warranty management and provision of a back-office function for the charging points installed. The supplier will provide a revenue share back to the Trust Port suppliers (to be negotiated) however please note that the car park - pay and display revenue within these spaces is solely that of the Trust Ports. Tender submission should not be dependent on grants being awarded. A long-term partnership would be considered to incentivise suppliers to invest in the network and to ensure continuity for the years ahead. It is anticipated that the supplier will be able to supply fast and rapid charging stations dependent on the available power supply at each site.
