The University of Portsmouth has placed a contract for pre-construction services with Overbury Ltd (part of the Morgan Sindall Group), via the SCAPE framework. The project aim is to refurbish part of the Rosalind Franklin building to provide an area suitable for Medical Education.The site is located at Rosalind Franklin West, White Swan Rd, Portsmouth, PO1 2DT.An agreed layout for the facility, a new external canopy and marketing strategy have been completed to RIBA Stage 1. A planning consultant has been engaged to assist with the plans for a new external canopy.Project documentation is attached at Appendix 1 as follows:• Project location.• Existing layout.• Proposed layout.• External canopy concept.• Programme.The construction project value is in the region of £1.8m inclusive of VAT.The pre-construction services have recently commenced and the University of Portsmouth wishes to engage and directly appoint a Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to direct and guide the proje
