Abstract

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's primary aim of this commission is to unlock enterprise potential within the borough by providing accessible support to residents, entrepreneurs and micro-businesses who have the aspiration to start and run successful enterprises. Potential service-providers will need to demonstrate their ability or experience in working with and alongside key borough partners, local business forums, and where necessary, place-shaping and place interventions across the borough.

The Council wants to help entrepreneurs to address barriers that they may face on their entrepreneurial journey, for a truly inclusive business community that supports viability and profitability and maximises their contribution to the borough’s economic growth.

Proposers are expected to demonstrate what accessible support means in practical terms with reference to culture and language and show commitment to foster attitudes, behaviours, and procedures that promotes equity and diversity, and inclusion.
